Financial Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Providing information, analysis and recommendations that support strategic and tactical objectives of business managers;
- Assisting in the preparation of business plans / business case analysis for new projects or initiatives;
- Analyzing divestment or investment opportunities and providing the business with options for divestment or investment;
- Using of Profitability Insight to extract analysis on profitability by customer / product / geography and an ability to utilize the tool to plan outcomes;
- Acquisition support – Providing modeling and professional advice that enables the business to make an informed decision to buy. This will include assisting with due diligence, scenario modeling, risk assessment review, working closely with tax, banking, professional firms and legal to structure the most effective deal;
- Project Financials – Provide financial data analysis as well as assisting project owners to review project financials;
- Building robust financial models using data from financial systems and other sources, to support business decision and the execution of business objectives;
- Performance measurement – monitoring and evaluating the success factors for an organization. This includes establishing KPIs, coordinating / collation of such measures and providing support where necessary to assess the drivers of performance;
- Financial Planning – working with business owners to develop quarterly and full year financial plans and setting targets;
- Preparation of the monthly KPI reporting formats such as Balanced Scorecard and CRM KPIs;
- Involvement in ad hoc projects such as finance system implementations, customer / product profitability, assessing new product launches, product migration, and the like;
- Reviewing the monthly financial performance and providing variance analysis and other commentary as appropriate;
- Briefing senior managers on the financial performance and highlighting any material deviations from the expected performance;
- Continue to develop a good knowledge of the sales/revenue/cost base and assist managers in the understanding of cost/revenue drivers;
- Assisting in defining and implementing the corporate structure in China.
Core Competence Required:
- Qualified Accountant with at least 6 years of experience in a Finance role, preferable within a Decision support or Management reporting environment;
- Audit or tax and consulting experience preferred;
- Exposure to various tools used such as Profitability Insight, Siebel CRM, Business Objects, MIRA
- Advanced excel skills;
- Strong financial modeling and analysis skills;
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability to challenge effectively;
- Knowledge of Reuters product offers and operations;
- Knowledge of industry and market;
- Good command of English.
